A battle honour awarded to the infantry units that participated in the amphibious landing at Scarlet Beach, between the Song River and Arndt Point, on the Huon Peninsula, on New Guinea’s east coast. The landing at Scarlet Beach was part of campaign to capture Finschhafen, with the start of the Allied counter offensive in New Guinea against the Japanese.
