Siki Cove

This honour was awarded for participation in the defensive engagement at Katika and the Siki Cove area, Scarlet Beach, on the Huon Peninsula, New Guinea. Following the Australian amphibious landing at Scarlet Beach, the Japanese counter-attacked and penetrated parts of the Australian line but were defeated after several days of fighting.
