The Salient 1941
Description
Awarded for participation in the operations that resulted in the defeat of the German and Italian launched on the Tobruk perimeter on 30 April 1941. Although contained, the assault resulted in a large salient being driven into the Tobruk perimeter, which remained in Axis hands until the end of the siege of Tobruk.
