One of the most impressive ceremonial parades witnessed in the Middle East took place during the recent visit of His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester to the AIF troops somewhere in Syria. His Royal Highness, attended by Sir Harold H Maitland Wilson GOC Eastern Command and staff, are being escorted to the saluting base by Lieutenant General Sir Leslie Morshead, Commanding AIF in Middle East.
