Troops arrive at Wanigela for covering attack on Buna. All troops for this action are brought by air. Australian 2/10 Battalion arrived first to clear and maintain this natural landing field. Advance is made by 2/6 Independant Company with United States 126 Regiment and 128 Regiment as the main body. Brigadier General MacNider with TX2156 Major H G Harcourt, 2/6 Independent Company.
