Description
A Cinesound production made to encourage Australians to subscribe in the First Victory Loan. A Padre visits the Davidson Family to console the mother and wife of an Australian soldier killed at the front. The wife confronts the Padre about his ability to understand suffering. The padre acknowledging her anger attempts to consol her by relating his experience of his ship being torpedeoed and then being stranded at sea on an open life boat for many days. She sympathises with him when he reveals that one of the two who died of wounds on the life boat was the Padre's only brother.
