Coverage of the deployment of No 75 Squadron RAAF CAC Sabre jet fighter aircraft from RAAF Williamtown to attend the 1962 Commonwealth Games at Perth, WA. Sabres landing at Kalgoorlie led by Wing Commander W.E. Townsend. General scene of Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. RAAF Central Band. Fly past by Sabre aircraft. The Black Diamond aerobatic team led by Squadron Leader Vance Drummond (POW Korea, later killed in May 1967 in a Mirage crash at sea) rehearsed at RAAF Pearce. Scene of pilots and ground to air formation practice. HRH Prince Phillip Duke of Edinburgh arrives at RAAF Pearce parade ground inspecting graduating pilots and presenting wings and trophies.
