Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 17 November 1915. During a storm, which came up from the south-west, the Indian mule carts, which were kept along the beach, were partially buried. The Turks, knowing that we must be busy clearing things up, kept up an incessant fire with 'Beachy Bill', one of their big guns.
