Luxor, Egypt. 1915. Rough unfinished wall at Temple of Medinet Habn showing how Ramses and other Pharaohs stole stones from earlier temples, built them in first and smoothed them afterwards. This wall had not been smoothed. The older carvings can be seen on the stones.
