Studio portrait of 1331 Private (Pte) Thomas Elevious Ellefsen 7th Battalion. A labourer from Ballarat, Vic prior to enlistment, Pte Ellefsen embarked with the 2nd Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Clan McGillivray on 2 February 1915. On 25 April 1915 he was killed during the Gallipoli landing and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial.
