Suvla Bay, Turkey. 1915. The British Army General Post Office on Gallipoli Peninsula built mainly of sand bags and protected by earth mounds. The area was much shelled by the Turks, who were occupying the hills in the background. Note the piled rifles in the foreground. The bay can be seen in the background.
