Description
Troops of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), serving in Japan have been undergoing strenuous exercises in preparation for combat duties in Korea. Seen here during training exercises at Haramura, is a large group of soldiers being briefed on the use of the American anti-tank gun (Bazooka). Here a US instructor rests a 3.5 inch rocket to be fired from the weapon on his shoulder. The Australians have removed their shirts in the hot weather.
