The Prime Minister of Australia (PM), the Right Honourable Robert G. Menzies (right wearing a suit) had an informal talk with a group of RAN ratings and soldiers in an outdoors mess. Here Mr Menzies right talks to Lieutenant General H. C. H. Robertson, Commanding officer of BCOF, who accompanied the PM on his tour of BCOF bases throughout Japan. Note the soldiers and sailors, some wearing bathers, enjoying a drink at rear.
