This desolate landscape greets the soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), as daylight dawns on their long night vigil. The scene is part of the notorious Hook feature, the scene of many bitter and bloody battles during the Korean war. Note the camouflage netting, left foreground.
