The other Boer War : the Second Boer War as a civil war / David Vivian.
Abstract
The popular image we have of the Boer War is the majority one of British and Colonial Forces arrayed against the wily Boer Commandos. This image is, however, by no means the only one. The full picture is much more varied than this. By viewing the Second Boer War as a civil war we can explore some of the pressures that were at work on the Boers and Boer society.
