The evolution of an AIF Battalion : the 7th Battalion at the battles of Krithia ( 8 May 1915) and Lihons ( 10 August 1918 ) / Ron Austin.
Abstract
In this article the author describes how the 7th Battalion evolved over the period of the First World War. Starting off with the battles of Krithia on the 8th May 1915 and how they compared to the same battalion at Lihons on the 10th August 1918. The author concludes by pointing out how over the period of the war, the battalion had turned into a hardened professional force.
