Shows the Eastern Desert, populated places, roads, tracks, old post road from Cairo to Suez with numbered towers, railway and stations, embankment of old Suez Railway 1858-69, markets, schools, sheikh's tomb, ruined palace and signal station at Dar el Beida, numerous canals and drains around Bilbays, bridges and ferry crossings, wadis, extensive sand areas, some vegetation and terrain features.
