In this article the author describes how the No. 77 Squadron who had been based in Japan as members of the British Occupation Force (BCOF) was deployed in Korea in 1950. They became the first Australians to fight in the Korean's war opening months. The author goes on to describe the operations that the squadron were involved with in Korea. The nature of these operations, flying at low altitudes exposed them to small-arms fire and dangerous terrain. The author concludes by stating that the No. 77 Squadron distinguished themselves during the operations in which they took part.
