Luminous and night sights for the Vickers Machine Gun / Kevin Driscoll.
Abstract
In this article the author gives a brief history of the introduction and use of the Vickers Machine Gun, as well as describing the Luminous sights. This was introduced to allow the gun to be used at night or low light. The author describes the technical aspects of the sight as well as going on to explain how the glass tubes were to be replaced while in the trenches.
