Why war art speaks to us / by Scott Bevan.
Abstract
In this article the author writes about the role of the War artists during the Second World War. The article is based upon a talk given at the War Memorial in 2015 to mark Victory in Pacific day. The author conlcudes that it was not just bleak pictures the artists painted but also a search for humanity and beauty.
