This book has been compiled by the Yerong Creek community as part the Anzac Centenary commemorations to honour and remember the men and boys from this small rural area who volunteered to serve their country in the 1st World War of 1914-1918. It does nothonour or glorify war but honours the memory of those who gave their lives in that conflict, particularly those whose final resting place is unknown. It also recognises the sacrifices borne by the families of those who did not return and those who surviv ed the horrors of war and returned to their families and community.--Bill Ankers.
