v. 1. Comprising the Philippine Islands (with the exception of the western coasts of Luzon and Palawan), Sulu Sea, Sulu Archipelago, and the north-east coast of Borneo -- v. 2. Comprising the south-eastern end of Sumatra, Sunda Strait, Java, islands easard of Java, southern and eastern coasts of Borneo, Macassar Strait, Celebes, and the western part of the Sula Islands -- v. 3. Including the north-eastern end of Celebes, Molucca and Jailolo Passages, Banda and Arafura Seas, and the western end and souern coast of Dutch New Guinea -- v. 4. Comprising the western end of Java, the southern and eastern coasts of Sumatra, Straat Soenda, Straat Banka, Gaspar Strait, Straat Karimata, the western coast of Borneo from Tanjong Sambar to the entrance of the Klne Kapoeas River, the Riouw and Lingga Archipel, with the various routes leading to Singapore and the China Sea.
