Description
Bari, Italy. 17 January 1945. No. 267 Squadron RAF, a transport command squadron flying Douglas C47 Dakotas on supply missions to Yugoslavia, gives valuable aid to Tito's Partisans. Besides war supplies, food and clothes, the squadron takes in Yugoslav soldiers trained in Italy to carry on the fight against the retreating Germans, and former evacuees. Here a Yugoslav soldier and his six-week-old baby, are passangers on one trip, flown by an RAAF aircrew. To protect the infant from the bitter cold at 10,000 feet, it was well wrapped in blankets.
