North Africa. c. 1942. Aerial view of four RAF armoured cars (nicknamed Shellback) advancing in a forward area of the Western Desert. The tattered flag proudly flying on one of the vehicles was battle-scarred by machine gun bullets in a successful engagement with Nazi fighters.
