Western Desert, Egypt. 6 September 1942. American built Consolidated B-24 Liberator bomber aircraft operated by the Allied Air Forces are constantly striking at the Axis in the Middle East. With their long range and heavy bomb load they have delivered terrific blows at enemy bases, harbours and shipping. In flight, Emma Elizabeth is one of these giant aircraft with the star of the United States Army Air Forces on its fuselage.
