Wolfsberg Stalag XVIIIA
Description
A typed manuscript by John Ledgerwood. Details the history of Stalag XVIIIA at Wolfsburg in Austria from when occupied by British POWs until the manuscript was written in July 1944. The nature of life at the camp is explored in detail, with particular attention paid to individual experiences, social activities within the camp, and dealings with the German guards and civilians. Quotes are included throughout. Four pages of poems are included as an appendix to the main text.
