Description
Butare, Rwanda. 1994-08-27. United Nations (UN) vehicles parked outside the outposted medical treatment section compound in Butare which was established by the Australian Medical Support Force. The compound is to provide medical care for UN troops deployed to help repatriate refugees affected by the civil war in the central African nation. The treatment section is also to provide assistance to the CARE Australia orphanage in Butare and will begin treating locals in surrounding refugee camps.
