Description
Australian Force Commander, Colonel Wayne Ramsey, presents medical assistant Sergeant (Sgt) Cathi Molnar with her United Nations (UN) Service Medal. At this parade the UN military chief in Rwanda, Major General Guy Tousignant, said that the Australian Medical Support Force had been the success story of the UN mission. Sergeant Molnar was one of the sixty four medal recipients who were the first Australians in Rwanda with the Advance Party in early August 1994. Service personnel are eligible for the medal after 90 days continuous service.
