R57855 Ordinary Steward (Ord Std) Andrew Richard (Rick) Eddy, of HMAS Voyager (II), rests in a sick bay bunk on board the RAN aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne (II), attended by two unidentified Melbourne crew members. Ord Std Eddy was rescued following the sinking of HMAS Voyager on the night of 10 February 1964, the result of a collision with HMAS Melbourne during exercises off Jervis Bay, southern NSW. He was taken to Sydney on HMAS Melbourne and hospitalised at Balmoral Naval Hospital. The disaster claimed the lives of 82 crew members of the Voyager.
