Private Eric George Batson
Description
Private Eric George Batson (1st Australian Infantry Battalion) was born in Albury, New South Wales, in 1900. He was living in Tumbarumba, New South Wales, when he enlisted with his older brother, Reginald, in March 1916. Eric died of diphtheria at the Liverpool Field Hospital on 16 August 1916 at the age of 15 years 10 months. He is buried in the Liverpool New Cemetery, Liverpool, New South Wales. Private Reginald Batson served with the 32nd Australian Infantry Battalion.
