Private Milton Richard Jarvis
Description
Private Milton Richard Jarvis enlisted in the Second Australian Imperial Force on 4 November 1942, after previously serving in the Australian Military Forces in New South Wales, the Northern Territory and South Australia and Victoria. He was posted to 2/9 Australian Infantry Battalion, and served with this unit in New Guinea. On 12 January 1943, Private Jarvis was killed in action. He is commemorated at Port Moresby Memorial, Papua New Guinea.
