Description

Private Templeman embarked from Sydney 25 October 1916 as reinforcements for 19 Infantry Battalion. Following training in England he joined the 19th Battalion in France, 31 March 1917. He was wounded in action on 18 September 1917 with a gunshot wound to his head and leg. He was sent to England for medical treatment and recovery. Following training Private Templeman was allocated to reinforcements for 3 Battalion, 4 October 1918, at Fovant. The war ends before he can return to France.
