Private Harry Fox
Description
Private Harry Fox (5494, 2nd Battalion) was born in Harden, NSW. He enlisted on 14 February 1916. Harry was killed on 4 May 1917 during the second battle of Bullecourt and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France. Harry’s father later wrote that Harry was still a student at the Technical High School, Ultimo when he enlisted, and was aged 16 years 7 months at the time of his death. Harry’s brother George served with the Australian Railway Troops.
