Private Colin Meyers
Description
Private Colin Meyers (2055, 31st Battalion) was born in Goulburn, NSW, in 1899, the only son of Reginald and Emily Meyers. He was working as a groom when he enlisted under the name of Cecil Morgan in October 1915. Colin was initially reported as wounded in action at Fromelles on 17 July 1916. On 25 August 1916 he was reported wounded and missing, and later confirmed dead on a German Prisoner of War List. He is buried in the Fromelles (Pheasant Wood) Military Cemetery, France. Colin was 17 years old when he died.
