Private Harold Murray
Description
Private Harold Murray (2537, 55th Battalion) was born in Melbourne and was working as a labourer at Daysdale, NSW, when he enlisted in May 1916. Harold suffered gunshot wounds to his head during action on the front line near Noreuil on 13 May 1917. He died at the 13th General Hospital in Boulogne three days later. Harold is buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Boulogne, France. His father wrote that he was 17 years of age.
