Private John Reeves
Description
Private John Reeves (2433, 30th Battalion) was born in Rockdale, NSW, and was working as a farm hand at Branxton, NSW, when he enlisted in September 1915. John was killed in action at Pozieres on 20 July 1916 and is buried in the Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France. His mother wrote later that he was 17 years of age. John's brother, Corporal Charles Reeves, served in the AIF with the 1st Light Horse Regiment.
