Private Leslie Andrew Sheffield
Description
Private Leslie Andrew Sheffield (2512, 17th Battalion) was a cattle drover from Newtown, NSW. He enlisted on 30 July 1915. Leslie was killed in action on 26 July 1916 during the Battle of Pozieres, aged 17 years. He was buried in the vicinity of Pozieres, but was later reinterred in the Delville Wood Cemetery, Longueval, France.
