Private Harold Victor Barger
Description
Private Harold Victor Barger (1675, 21st Battalion) was a farmer from Bendigo, Victoria. He was diagnosed with cerebro spinal meningitis and died on 16 February 1916. Harold is buried in the Tel El Kebir War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt. His mother wrote that he was 17 and a half years of age at the time of his death. Harold's brother Private William Gabriel Barger was killed in the battle of Fromelles on July 1916, and another brother Private Robert Charles Barger served with the 8th Battalion.
