Description

Private Julian Clifford Everett was a farmer from Cape Barren Island, Tasmania prior to enlistment with the 12th Battalion. Everett embarked with the 20th Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Botanist on 24 August 1916. While serving in France he contracted influenza and was evacuated to England. Later diagnosed as suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, he returned to Australia on 12 May 1918 and was medically discharged.
