Private Roy Clarence Lucas
Description
Private Roy Clarence Lucas (7508, 41st Battalion) was born 13 September 1899 in Goondiwindi, Queensland. He was working as a cordial maker and picture operator when he enlisted in February 1917 at the age of 17 years 5 months. Roy was killed on 12th August 1918 when his battalion came under heavy artillery fire near Mericourt, France, aged 18 years. He is buried in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
