Private Harold William Bardwell
Description
Private Harold William Bardwell (2275, 41st Australian Infantry Battalion) was born in Brisbane, Queensland, on 11 March 1900. He was working as a warehouse assistant when he enlisted in June 1916. Harold suffered multiple gunshot wounds on 3 June 1917 during action near Messines and died of his wounds four days later at the 2nd Casualty Clearing Station. He was buried in the Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France aged 17 years 3 months.
