Description
Able Seaman John Foster Roy Primmer enlisted to the Royal Australian Navy on 8 May 1939. He served on the HMAS Sydney (II) in the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. On 20 November 1941, Able Seaman Primmer was killed in action, alongside all other crewmembers of HMAS Sydney (II), when the ship engaged in a naval battle with the German cruiser Kormoran and sank off the coast of Western Australia.
