Flight Lieutenant Thomas Taylor Hall
Description
Flight Lieutenant Thomas Taylor Hall enlisted to the Royal Australian Air Force on 7 November 1941. After a period of training in Australia and the United Kingdom, he was posted to 175 Squadron and served as a fighter pilot. Flight Lieutenant Hall's first operational flight was on 6 June 1944, D-Day, when the Allies invaded France at Normandy. He continued to serve with 175 Squadron throughout Europe, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for a marked degree of courage and initiative in a large number of operational sorties. Flight Lieutenant Hall was discharged on 2 January 1946.
