Sergeant Alexander Osborn Berry
Description
Sergeant Alexander Osborn Berry enlisted to the Second Australian Imperial Force on 20 October 1939. He served with 2/10 Field Regiment in Malaya, but was taken by the Japanese as a prisoner of war in early 1942. He was initially interned at Changi Prisoner of War Camp, but was later transported to a camp in Thailand. After the war, Sergeant Berry returned to Australia, and was discharged on 9 May 1946.
