Private George Candy
Description
Private George Candy (3060, 60th Battalion) was born in 1900 at Collingwood, Victoria. He was working as a brass finisher when in enlisted in July 1915. George was reported missing during the battle of Fromelles, 19 July 1916, and is commemorated at the VC Corner Australian Cemetery and Memorial, Fromelles, France. He was about 16 years of age.
