Private Colin Hector McPherson
Description
Private Colin Hector McPherson (2809, 29th Battalion) was born in Korumburra, Victoria, on 14 May 1899. He had trained with cadets for four years before enlisting in September 1915. Colin was working on a fatigue party when hit by a shell in a trench near Flers on 26 October 1916 and died of wounds shortly after. He is buried in the Thistle Dump Cemetery, Longueval, France. Colin was 17 years 5 months of age at the time of his death.
