Private William Matthew Colbert
Description
Private William Mathew Colbert (1812, 27th Battalion) was born on 25 January 1898, at Kapunda, South Australia, and was working as a labourer when he enlisted on 4 May 1915 under the alias William Mathews. William died in Egypt of illness on 21 September 1915, aged 17 years 9 months old. He is buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery, Cairo, Egypt.
