Description
Private Frederick Smith (3132, 3rd Battalion) was born in Eveleigh, Sydney, on 22 August 1898. He was working as a mechanic when he enlisted in August 1915. Frederick was killed in action on 24 July 1916 during the battle of Pozieres, aged 17 years 11 months. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
