Private Henry Walker Gibson
Description
Private Henry Walker Gibson (1932, 19th Battalion) was born in Surrey Hills, NSW, in 1899. He enlisted in June 1915 and served at Gallipoli before being sent to the Western Front. Henry was killed in action on 4 August 1916 during the battle of Pozieres. He was buried at the time on the battlefield, but his grave could not be located after the war, so Henry is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France. He was 17 years and 4 months of age.
