Private William James Daw
Description
William James Daw was born in Fitzroy, Victoria on 21 September 1899. He was working as an oven maker's assistant when he enlisted in February 1916 and served as Private William James Miller (5139, 5th Battalion). William was killed in action on the 14 December 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France. His father later wrote that he was aged 17 years 3 months.
